Over a hundred years ago
in Japan,
the women who became mother made kimono
praying for her husband's
and children's happiness.

Whenever they get torn or worn,
the women thank the old fabrics
and fix them with extra care.

The antique kimonos being repaired again and
again over the years are now finally retired,
but they have a full of unique texture
which you don't see any other places.
There are countless prayers weaved
into the layers of kimono.

Antique kimonos – they are fostered by the
various families as the one-and-only apparel.

We sew the stoles with the strings of
“Mother's Prayer”,

which commonly exists in kimonos,
and we give life to them with a prayer
as mothers once did to kimonos.

They are one-and-only stoles
with embroidery of prayers combined by
the unique kimonos made with
the mother's prayer.

A hundred year's prayer of mothers
goes across time,
and merging into other prayers
becomes universal
– the prayer for the family of human beings.
